The very talented Sunshine Coast Celebrant, Kirsty Spencer suggested me for her clients Kylie and Scott who were to say "I do" at one of my all time favourite places, Noosa. When another vendor suggests you it's a huge compliment, let alone being chosen!
I met with Kylie, Scott and their gorgeous daughter at Noosa Woods prior to the wedding to check out their beautiful ceremony location and confirm all the little details....of course I made a sneaky Noosa day out of it ;)
When their daughter sat on the grass and meditated whilst we nailed the timeline, I knew it was going to be a loving, relaxed and meaningful day....I wasn't wrong.
Although hired for a half day (start at the ceremony), I like to get there early to photograph the styling before guests start to arrive. I photographed the amazing set up by First Class Functions at Noosa Boat House and Noosa Woods and still had time to visit the bride who was getting ready at Seahaven Noosa, only a short walk away.
The week before the wedding was non stop rain and I remember talking with Kylie about having a back up but she was adamant it was to be outdoors at Noosa Woods. The forecast looked really bad so I made sure I packed all my wet weather gear. The morning of the wedding came and it was honestly torrential with thunder and lighting right up until the hour before. I had my rain jacket and protective gear all set and the heavens opened up. Kylie stuck to her guns the entire time and no one could believe the weather turned out to be absolutely perfect. I guarantee anyone else would have organised plan B...there's trusting your gut for you!
Although the weather turned it on, Kylie forgot her bouquet, Scott put on the wrong trousers and guests arrived late. Despite that, they laughed it all off and partied hard into the night and now have these funny stories to tell with photographs to show.
I am now only taking on 1 - 2 weddings a month for 2020 so please get in touch :D
